Oooh Girl! Why is your twistout so fly?

Look at my hair.

Yes, That's My Hair!

Now Look At My Hair One More Time!!

Ok. So you probably can't tell, but I was singing "look at my hair!" I was loving this hairstyle. I can not even explain how much I loved this hairstyle. I could not keep my hands off my hair, but I have to give credit to the lovely MsDanti1 on YouTube. She has an excellent 2 part video on doing this hairstyle. Check out Part 1 and Part 2, you will not regret it!

You're probably wondering what the before looked like. Well, here it is

What I used:
Shower Wide Tooth Comb
Shea Moisture Curling Souffle

It's called a flat twist, and it has changed my life forever. I don't know if I will ever go back to regular twist.
Oh Yea, this hairstyle is also durable. I know, "What do you mean durable?" I mean, I fell asleep during the day, and when I woke up and checked my curls they looked untouched. So, this hairstyle can handle just about anything. Well that's it. I'm going to get back to loving my hair.

Bantu Knot Out with Naptural85's Shea Butter Mixture

Hello Everyone! This is the bantu knot out I did earlier this week with a shea butter mixture from Naptural85 (you should subscribe to her). It is not the first one I've done, but I figured this could be a good post on this blog. I love this hairstyle, because it is a great protective style, it stays all day, and it does not require any heat. Plus, all hair types and lengths can rock this. It will make you look so gorgeous, and it boost my confidence for the day. :) Here are a few pictures of the process and the result:

Twists

bantu knots (I tied these things so tight, I could feel myself think)

Untwisting

Final Takedown

I liked the look, but I wanted my hair out of my face because of work

So as you can see I love this hairstyle.

The products I used:
My Hair
Naptural 85's Shea Butter
Shea Moisture's Curling Souffle (to make it hold)

Here is the link to Naptural85's amazing shea butter. It is so moisturizing and has essential oils that great for healthy hair growth. I Love It!

A Braiding Sensation!

Okay so maybe the title is a little exaggerated, but I finally did something I had wanted to do all my life. A braid. Yes, a simple little braid that would probably take your momma five seconds to throw on your head. But I don't care, because I did it, and I feel accomplished. You should have seen me the day that sucker was put in, I immediately text everyone important to me. One of the people I text was my natural sista from another mista, my best friend CeCe, because she understood my no braid pain. But long story short, I was super excited and proud of myself for finally learning how to do a braid. Here are a few pictures of my glorious moment:

And I know that it is not the best braid. Shoot. It is in my eyes, but I'm getting better.

1st Blog Jitters

Welcome to Praying for the Natural Sisters! This is my first blog and my first natural journey. I am using this blog to help me keep track of my natural journey and maybe help some others along the way. As I said this is my first blog, so I might not post something everyday until I get the hang of being a blogger. So...this natural Christian would really appreciate your prayers, comments, and advice. Thanks for visiting! :)
